Introduction |
| |
|
| |
To safeguard the further success of the implementation
of the FEDAS PCK the Steering Committee, based on the proposal of
the Task Force, decided to launch an updated version of the FEDAS
PCK.
The aim of this new version is to:
- Simplify the allocation of the key,
- Improve the options for statistics,
- Achieve a more constant concept throughout the
various categories
- Adapt better to the requirements of the retail
and manufacturer as well as
The changes and improvements have been discussed
and developed within the Task Force (members of the Task Force are
suppliers, retailers and purchase groups) and wherever necessary
additional companies have been consulted.
This new version will of course still have the same
structure as the previous version, but some existing codes will
be deleted or replaced by new codes. This means that we have to
convert some of the codes used today to the new version (information
concerning converting table can be found on the Internet).
This document describes the main modifications of
the FEDAS Product Classification Key
(PCK). Further details can be found in the
"Implementation table". This excel table shows the actual
and the new versions. The new product groups are marked in green
as product groups, which are not used any longer, are highlighted
in red.
